Courageous, was released in theaters on September 30th, 2011. It was written, directed and produced by brothers Steven and Alex Kendrick. This film has excellent cinematography and is action packed with plenty of humor.
The Courageous Movie is about five fathers who commit to remain faithful to their families when faced with adversity. Even though the message of Courageous is serious, the use of comic relief makes the film easy to watch. Alex Kendrick gave an outstanding performance as Adam, a forty-something police officer who is suddenly hit with the death of his daughter. This movie contains suspense, romance, and drama. These key ingredients along with a powerful message to fathers and families make this movie a must see!
Christian films can sometimes get a bad rap from the general public. Christian movies are stereotyped, often accused of having bad acting, judgmental story lines and overall poor quality. The Kendrick brothers, however, once again provide a quality product for all to enjoy.
